How This Service Works
Respite may include personal assistance, supervision, companionship, routine health and safety support, or other tasks identified in the authorized plan. The specific responsibilities depend on the individual’s needs and the service setting.
Respite can be useful for a few hours, scheduled recurring periods, or other approved intervals. Caregivers should maintain familiar routines, communicate changes, and follow the person-centered plan while the regular caregiver is away.
The goal is to support both the individual and the family caregiver by providing dependable coverage without disrupting established routines unnecessarily.
